Started his Cinematic journey at the age of 21 he got his post graduate diploma from Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (Indian Govt ). Currently working as the faculty in Roopkala Kendro .The journey that started in the Suburb of Naihati to the workspace of Kolkata connected him with different Art forms like -literature, drama, painting, photography. He also assisted various renowned Directors before attending Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute. His diploma film from SRFTI-was the first ever student film from India to participate for CINEFOUNDATION in Cannes 2002. His short films has been screened in different Indian film festivals. FOREST MEDICINE -a documentary for EUROPEAN UNION & WHO directed by him was the inaugural film for River to River Florence International Film Fest ,2002. He has done many workshop Short films too. His debut feature film as Writer, Editor, Director and Producer -NEI MANUSHER KISSA/SAGA OF A NOBODY was acclaimed in various film Festivals. His 2nd film THE BROKEN MIRROR, was also acclaimed of which he is the writer, editor, Production designer, Producer & Director too. He is currently working on his 3rd film KUWASHAR PORE / BEYOND THE MIST which is on the verge of completion.

He is connected with Roopkala Kendro for more that last 20 years.

2025 working on his 3rd feature film KUWASHAR PORE/ BEYOND THE MIST , which is in its post-production phase.

Apart from Roopkala Kendro he has taken numerous classes & workshops on Script Writing, Film Making, Film Appreciation & Aesthetics - personally & also in different colleges.
