Under the conditions of bi-lateral project implementation, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Italy, through Centro Orientamento Educativo (COE) had gifted the Institute a wide range of state-of-art equipment ranging from sophisticated professional video and audio equipment like Multi Camera on-line studio system with digital camera and switcher to Multi Source Editing Systems on Betacam format, Digital Non-linear Editing setup, multi camera set up, edit station, sound console and animation equipment. This was supplemented by the Government of West Bengal which provided funds for upgrading the infrastructure. The Government of West Bengal also takes care of the cost of running the institution out of state plan funds through annual grants.

The institution has an Outdoor Broadcast Van with a multi-camera on-board, portable outdoor shooting unit, video duplicating station, 3CCD Solid Video Cameras, Betacam Video Recorders, Audio Mixers and Amplifiers and Projection system etc. for the purpose of shooting, editing, sound recording and other related functions.
The Institute has an audio visual Broadcasting System which is capable of both Analog and Digital Transmission from our two fully acoustically treated studios -- one large 15m X 15m studio and another 11.3m X 6.7m, both equipped with modern and updated lighting grids. Both the studios have multi camera set-up and the Production Control Room is equipped with analog video switcher like DFS 500, digital video switcher like DFS800 and INDIGO, Wave Form Vetroscope, Sync Generator, Character Generator, Embedder, Router including Talk Back and Phone-in System. It also has Fork Playout and Ingest Automation Facility Management System. The Uplink Earth Station has been provided and installed by ISRO, with both way audio and video satellite communication system.
